Occasionally it happens for me. It happened with Adaptation, Almost Famous, Love Actually, Donnie Darko, Closer, The Good Girl, Secretary and Punch Drunk Love to name a few. You see a movie and all of a sudden, even if just for a brief moment nothing else matters apart from that movie, it's characters, themes, and what it made you feel. They take you to another universe. It makes you feel like there is this entire other world out there and one day maybe you'll find it, or you are in it for the duration of the film. It makes it even worse when it ends. I guess this is why I like movies. It happened just then then when I saw a film that I could only describe as being nothing less than cinematic bliss. Garden State. Go and watch it or never watch anything again. Holy fuck, how I didn't see this sooner I don't know... Fucking awesome.
In other news the book I ordered arrived today. Panda called me to tell me so. This was weird as I had no idea she even worked in the fucking store. If it had been some book on sex or satanism I may have been embarrassed. Thankfully it was not, so therefore I was not.
