This is the best time of year i think. The wind in scotland turned fresh recently here and i live on the colder windier east coast. Mind you, it was the highlands that has had the strongest winds with gusts of 115 mph the other day. It's also harvest time and here fife you can pick things to make jam or various other delights. The farmers markets are great this time of year too.
Yet all of this can't top the fact that the geese have started to arive. We mostly have pink footed geese and greylag geese both from iceland. We also get barnical geese too but they're harder to find in fife. Lastly if you go to the western isles, islay i think, you'll find white fronted geese from greenland. I'd love to see and hear them, their numbers are falling.
i love the country.
