up for an adventure?

So there's this remote area in relatively southern British Columbia in the coastal mountains that no one but a few crazy climbers venture into. At it's center is Mount Waddington, highest peak in the province, once thought unclimable, said to be as difficult as Everest.

I've been obsessed with seeing it in person for a few years now, missed a chance to go up the classic route, which is going up the Bute Inlet by boat, and hiking/flying the rest, this would have been for a planting contract but I'm not sure how close to the mountain they would have gotten, as it's surrounded by glaciers and I don't think loggers touch it.

And then there is the northern route, from the southernmost town on the nearest highway, the native community Tatla Lake, from where many expeditions fly these days. It's 70 kilometres (45 miles) from Waddington, and according to an email I just received, no logging roads go near it and it's much too tough to hike.

Nevertheless, while having no intention of trying to climb the thing, I do want to get close enough for a picture.
