(no subject)

A variety of rants of different sizes. Some are more annoying or recent than others, and they're aimed at multiple people. (So don't worry, I'm not picking on anybody specifically)

-Do not blow your nose at the dining table. It's disgusting. Unless it's some sort of post-seeze emergency, either get up and go to the bathroom to do it or wait. This is especially horrible if there is food on the table and people are eating. No. Don't do it.

-There's silly, and then there's silly. Calling something goofy/funny/joke-y (you know... silly stuff!) silly is fine. Correcting someone or disagreeing with someone and then calling them silly ("Actually, it's blah blah blah. Silly person. ;)") comes across (or can) as extremely condescending. It sort of feels like being dismissed or compared to a child. Uh, no thanks.

-Just because the cat 'strats it sometimes, too' does NOT mean that the dog should chase her around the house to the point that the cat cannot walk on the floor while the dog is at large in the house. That is not okay.

-It honestly is not necessary to "hello!" at me every time I walk by. It's actually kind of annoying.

-In addition, just because I woke up/got up late does not mean you need to comment on it. None of this "oh there you are" or "welcome to the world!" stuff. It's just rude. (Fortunately, I no longer have to hear commentary on how late I'm up. That was also annoying)

-Telling people what's going on with me when I'm around (i.e. in the house) is kind of annoying. At least ask if I would like to tell people myself please.

-On that note the diva's a disaster, I think everyone agrees that talking about someone as if they aren't there when they are is annoying. You could totally have asked me that, you know.

-Just because I frequently don't know about [subject] does not necessarily mean I no nothing about said subject. Especially if it's something like, say, comic books or similar, that I do have an interest in, even if the interest is relatively narrow (like I'm really only interested in Batman comics, for example).

-When talking to people online, it's generally good to give them a chance to respond before changing topics, asking if they're okay, prodding them to answer already, or similar. Sometimes I'm typing a relatively lengthy reply! I also try to type correctly when I IM, so sometimes I take a little bit longer.

-On the other hand, if we're online and talking, actual, y'know, talking is nice. If you're too busy to talk, please just say something. Or maybe warn me if your internet is being crappy. (I don't mind having an IM conversation with a relatively slow pace. I just don't like saying "hey" to somebody, having them reply once, and then say nothing until they logogg twenty minutes later. That makes me a sad Sparky.)

-Also, nobody likes Captain Obvious. We all do it sometimes, but some people think it's their mission in life to be Captain Obvious. Augh.

-Please don't try to correct me when I say things that are about me. It's annoying. Don't argue with me about what mood I'm in, what I'm thinking, or anything like that. I'm pretty sure I know myself better than you do.

-Strictly-enforced gender roles can go die in a fire.

-For anybody who doesn't know, here is a list of things that I am/important things about me: I am pansexual; I am not a Christian (don't know what I am, religiously speaking, but it's not Christian; I do not like, nor think I ever want children; I am a bitch (but not a betch); I'm kind of a perv; I am weird for multiple definitions of weird; I'm a nerd; I'm moody (hell, I'm a Scorpio); I'm shy (particularly when I'm first getting to know you or in social situations, but sometimes even when I'm comfortable with you I can be shy). I am also more than these things, but I am these things.

Okay, I think I'll stop now. I feel better. :)

sparky has no life, sparky never gets any, rawr, serious business, i am scorpio and i will end you, y so srs?
