pic awesome, but unrelated
Hey y'aaaaaaaall. It's me, Mario! that person who never posts. Lol whoops.
I think I'm going to be starting on tattoo number two this week, as soon as the money from paypal decides to show up in my bank account. (Yeah, for my birthday this year, I asked for tattoo money haha.) *INCOMING NERD ALERT* I'm getting the planet symbols from Sailor Moon on my arms. I'm going to do Moon plus the inner senshi on my left arm, and Chibi Moon plus the outer senshi on my right arm. I'm going to have them wrap around my forearms right below the elbow, so that they're like armbands. I'm not sure just how big they'll be exactly; as big as I can get them in the relatively limited space without crowding them too close together. And yes, I am doing them in color! Bright shoujo Sailor Moon color. :D I decided to use Pluto's secondary color-- which is a really dark red/garnet-y color-- because I wasn't sure it'd match the others if I colored it in black when the others are going to have thick black outlines. Idk, but I think it would look weird black (I'll ask the artist just in case), so I'm going with the dark red. Yes.
I don't think I'll be able to get it all done in one sitting, just because it will probably cost more than I have on me right now. I'm hoping to at least get all the outlines done, but whatever I can get done is good. I have the symbols drawn out in the style I want them, I have the colors pulled both from memory and an actual screenshot, so I'm all ready to go as soon as the money moves itself over. :D Like I said, should be this week.
I haven't gotten around to posting pics of tattoo number one yet, whoops. First I was waiting for it to heal up, and now I just keep forgetting. I have "Not for the last time" on my right foot. It's a line from the Hobbit, which I got for my dad once we found out how bad the cancer was. He used to read the Hobbit to me when I was little, and that line was the one he'd add in everywhere to see if I was paying attention. :) It was neat, Dad was pretty excited and touched that I was going to get a tattoo for him. I really wanted to get it in time for him to be able to see it, and I did. I don't know how well he could see at that point, but he knew it was there, and what it was, and he'd make me show it off whenever someone came over to see him. :) And I'm gonna stop now before I get all sniffly and stuff.
Sometime in the future: a Watership Down tattoo, the shark tattoo I always wanted, and possibly the world's first King's Quest tattoo.
