The aforementioned post of substance.
I've seen this done elsewhere on lj, and thought it was a damn good idea. So here it is, a list of things I assume you know about me.
1.) I'm queer. Specifically, I'm pansexual. No, this does not mean that I'm attracted to cookware (and no, that joke is not funny, so don't go there). It means being attracted to people all over the gender spectrum/continuum. And what that means, is that there are more gender identities than just male or female, basically. The one sentence version is that I'm an equal opportunity perv. :)
2.) I'm a feminist. Now, apparently a lot of people think this is a dirty word these days. I do not. I'm definitely a feminist. However, I freely admit that I'm not the best one ever, so I'm sure I've screwed it up in the past and will again in the future. But I'm trying. (And this disclaimer probably applies to other things on this list, but I felt that I should put it here.)
3.) I am very, very pro-choice. Considering the last one, you'd think this would go without saying, but I think it deserves its own number anyway.
4.) I am... not sure what I am, spiritually/religiously speaking, but I do know that I am not Christian. Jesus is nice and all, but no thanks. I'm vaguely pagan-y, with, apparently, a leaning towards Trickster-types/trouble-making deities. *eyes her various Loki tags*
5.) I'm rather childfree. That means I don't want kids. I don't like kids, I don't know what to do with kids, please keep them away. (A baby crying? Doesn't awaken any maternal instincts. In fact, I get incredibly angry and violent, in a you-shut-it-up-or-I-WILL sort of way. Just talking about it is making me grind my teeth.) While I don't see this ever changing, I'm willing to admit that it might. Just don't expect it to, and we'll be okay.
6.) I'm liberal/left-leaning. How shocking, considering the other things on this list, right? But yes.
...So, I was pretty sure there was more, but I can't think of it at the moment. So I may edit more in, or I may not. Feel free to ask for clarification on any/all of this. Also, I am rather tired at this point, so some words may have gotten where they shouldn't have and made my sentences a bit strange.
