Fanfiction recs in the following fandoms: The Addams Family (live action movies), Angel, Marvel Cinematic Universe and Zootopia/Zootropolis.
The Addams Family (live action) movies
Addams Family Therapy: bucketmouse (Post Addams Family Values, Joel/Wednesday, ER, futurefic)
There are two ways you deal with marrying an Addams. Assimilate, or end up electrocuted. Joel isn't too keen on either option.
Very funny and clever, and the characterisation was dead on.
Angel
Just a Thought: Jenny-O (Wes/Lilah, strong teen, early s4)
It feels like too long since I last read some Wesley/Lilah after reading this by the author I most strongly associate with the pairing. They're written so acutely, they're so knowing, yet human enough that they, or Wes, at least, want to believe plausible lies because the truth they deal in is so brutal, and then there's the contrast of the pleasurable physicality. Guh, I love them.
MCU
Guardians of the Galaxy
all the good love: glorious_spoon (Gamora/Peter, M)
Really enjoyed the focus on their awkwardness in a morning after alien sex pollen situation as Gamora works through her feelings. Loved the characterisation.
Iron Man
Self-preservation: Random-Battlecry (Tony/Pepper, Tony POV, multi-chapter)
Pepper drags Tony, some hours after a tough gig as Iron Man, to a charity art auction, while both of them have an effect on each other. I loved how each chapter picked up and reframed or deepened little details from previous chapters, how the title makes more and more sense, that Maria Stark gets mentioned so much and the shift in dynamics towards the end..Clever and satisfying.
Zootopia/Zootropolis
want you close: Lizzen (Nick/Judy, M for some very unDisneylike language)
Loved how this developed some of the implications of the roleplay in the film, and this non-linear structure supported Nick working through his tangled (animalistic!) feelings beautifully.
