Your main fandom(s) of the year: Gotham for writing fic and obsessing, the Marvel Cinematic Universe for reading fic (Avengers: Infinity War didn’t have much of an impact on that).
Best film you watched this year: Phantom Thread and The Incredibles 2.
Best book you read this year: To The Bright Edge of the World: Eowyn Ivey.
Your favourite album or song to listen to this year: Le Kov: Gwenno.
Your favourite TV show of the year: Killing Eve (but I thought TV was much better overall this year than last).
Your best new fandom discovery of the year: I don’t know that I feel fannish about much cool new stuff I came across this year. Reconnecting with Gotham was a bigger deal. Otherwise, I was mostly still into fandoms I've been into for a while, or interested in old TV shows.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year: The news about Allison Mack. James Gunn getting sacked (although if he is to do Suicide Squad 2, that is intriguing and exciting. I should go on to Fantastic Beasts 2 being a wee bit disappointing, although it was nowhere near as terrible as Proud Mary.
Your biggest squee moment of the year: Movie scenes that made me squee included the musical number in The Shape of Water and Jack-Jack versus the raccoon in the Incredibles 2. Opening up my copy of ‘Lethal White’ and Robin finally ditching Matthew. The strong first episode of Killing Eve, most Selina/Bruce scenes on Gotham, and the ‘Wicked Game’ fanvid for the pairing. Most of Pasha and Ashley’s routines, Faye and Giovanni’s Argentinian Tango, Stacey and Kevin’s contemporary and other Strictly moments.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year: (Ooh, most of last year's came good.)
The films I’m most looking forward to are: Captain Marvel (please be good!) Avengers: Endgame (how do they fix it and can Natasha and Bruce have meaningful interaction) X-Men Dark Phoenix: I’m jittery about this. Also The Lego Movie 2 and I'm intrigued by what Joaquin Phoenix's take on the Joker will be like.
Will they do an adaptation of ‘Lethal White’ this year? If so, that.
Season 5 of Gotham and Killing Eve season 2 and more co-productions leading to excellent drama on the Beeb.
Favourite couples of 2018: Selina/Bruce (Gotham) and May/Coulson (Agents of SHIELD). Nostalgically: Snow/Charming, Rumpelstiltskin/Belle (Once Upon a Time) and Taylor/Ryan (The O.C.). Oh, and Sue/Jack (Sue Thomas, F.B.Eye). I loved Sophie and Allen’s marriage in ‘To the Bright Edge of the World’, the Robin/Cormoran developments in ‘Lethal White’ given the ending of book three and in the adaptation of ‘Career of Evil’. Juliet/Dawsey in ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society’.
Favourite main character of 2018: Cormoran Strike. Also Sue Thomas - she’s just so, well, good.
Favourite other character of 2018: Selina Kyle, also Melinda May, Demelza Poldark, Amy Santiago and Villanelle (or should she be a co-lead?)
Favourite team of 2018: Demelza and Caroline teaming up on Poldark. They get it done.
