As seen repeatedly on the reading page (last week)
List the first sentence (or two because a couple of those first sentences are quite short) of each of the last ten fics you posted.
“Now, are you sure you can keep Mistress Mischief in line?” Aunt Caroline asks Julia.
The Girls with Bright Futures (Poldark)
Pepper is clearly amused as she hands each of the Avengers a paper bag.
Natasha versus the Marketing Ploy (MCU)
Dawsey came in from tending to the pigs to find Juliet waiting for him, not sitting at her table in front of her typewriter or poring over her notes.
A Job for Kit (The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society)
Victor has a weapon for every occasion.
Jugular (Gotham)
Neville stepped out of the fireplace into Ginny's flat, his eyes lighting up at the sight of her.
Cherimoya (Harry Potter)
No club, no gun store. Sofia Falcone is right, they’ve got nowhere to turn, not if Penguin is coming for them, not if he can kill a kid.
Nowhere Else to Turn (Gotham)
Selina pulls Bruce out of his absorption in the puzzle box he’s holding with a dry chuckle.
With a dry chuckle, Selina pulls Bruce out of his absorption in the puzzle box he's holding.
Normalcy (Gotham)
Neville hears Hannah come in, and turns around, thinking he really should apologise.
Tender Loving Care (Harry Potter)
It’s always an adjustment to come back to Holyhead after a weekend in the Burrows where she’s been immersed in the smells and spells of home.
Her Dream Job (Harry Potter)
Selina only realizes she’s been carrying a weight inside of her when it’s gone.
This is Why You Turn to Me (Gotham)
Well, that was telling. I wanted to do this meme so that I could gloat about having posted ten fics (ficlets in the main) since April for once, but I can see that most of them starts with 'Character’s first name does something', That character is more likely to be male than female, although Selina Kyle equalled Neville Longbottom until my inner editor went 'Ugh' and insisted I rearranged the opening sentence of 'Normalcy'. Gotham is the most represented fandom.
