Thoughts:
So, there is more to say than I would have thought possible at the start of the year. I posted 14 pieces of fanfiction (two passed the 1,000 word mark and the rest were ficlets) and one piece of micro fiction about a superheroine's sister at Christmas, so I’m not totting up the word count. This is similar in number to last year, except my block from losing my drafts over summer 2016 stayed with me. The first two fics I posted were older ones that I’d polished up, but then I got inspired by comment-fic prompts, mainly of the ‘Any’ or ‘Any/Any’ variety, and posted my fills within a reasonable timescale. I got into a roll over the summer and in November/December.

I wrote the most in Sky High, which seems to have resurfaced as my ‘go-to’ fandom. I always knew I had more to write about Layla/Warren. I wrote two Harry Potter pieces, the second because I’d been thinking about the characters while writing the first. I’d written something for all the other fandoms before (if not the same pairings), bar NCIS: LA, which was a new show to me. My Thor/Jane AU was posted ahead of Thor: Ragnarok.

I am happy I got ‘Some Goodnight Kisses’ done, which is both the longest fic and my first Ron/Hermione fic. Although I love the pairing, perhaps because I do, I’ve shied away from writing them. Of course, this is fluff. Nearly everything I posted this year was fluff. That one took me from August to November to write and edit.

On AO3, Extreme Action seems to have been the most popular, then the moon’s daughter and then Some Goodnight Kisses. Two of those are longer fics.

Clearly, I haven’t settled on G or Universal as a rating.

My fic writing goals for 2018 are closer to what they always are: finish more fic, finish longer fic and post throughout the year.
