Undone (X-men movieverse) PG. Wolverine, Rogue. 250 words. Summary: Wolverine finds Rogue in the X-Jet trying to deal with some of what’s happened to her. (Post X2) and its sequel Clasp PG-13. Wolverine/Rogue. 599 words. Summary: Logan works out what Rogue and he are ready for.
Posting them I was reminded of what a soft spot I had (have) for Spike/Tara. I think that ficlet stands up, I was a little disappointed that I hadn’t written/posted more about them from that fevered period when I was really into the pairing, or any more Heyer fics. (Oh how much I would like for someone to adapt Heyer for either screen.)
Also, in case you hadn’t noticed, I was really, really into Alec from Dark Angel around that time.
Undone and Clasp are the telling of a massive bit of headcanon for X2 for me, and why I was so disappointed in what they did to/with Rogue in X-men 3. I recently read the novelisation, where she doesn’t take the Cure...and chooses to stay at the mansion and protect the kids, which is better, but, well, like a lot of things about that novelisation, some of the last-minute changes to the final film made it better and some of them didn’t, but it was still a turkey. Anyway, all those fics, even if you add Undone and Clasp together, are ficlets, by which I mean under a thousand words.
