Featuring Shaw at a book club

Because of reasons, the only one of my shows I could watch/catch up on over the past few days was Person of Interest. (And I was quite tired when watching it.)

3.4 Reasonable Doubt

I am glad that Bear was fine and faking his illness! Liked the silent exchange over his affection between Shaw and Reece. Guys, he loves you all! More team spirit, please. (Heh, I’m enjoying the spikiness and the new perspective Shaw brings tothe way they do things.)

I had no idea what was going on with the Number of the Week and what happened to her husband, although like Reese, I admired her methods for dealing with what had happened. I did think ‘but where’s the body’ until I forgot about that, so I was not that surprised but half kicking myself when it was revealed he'd been faking his own death.

ANYway, we had a callback to Reese’s Man in the Suit persona, and I got to enjoy Carter’s junior partner’s assumption he was a romantic interest. So, like her I swallowed that. Presumable he didn't overhear them, but did read their body language rightly. But Cameron wasn’t supposed to be HR, but working for his own interests, so it’s interesting that the boy reported to him.

Zoe got a reference, Finch, Carter and Reese as judge and jury was a nice new twist, and Fuscoe-Shaw is going to be a fun dynamic. Of course, the second thst Reese, who they’d been building up nicely to have a soft spot for the NotW, gave her the gun I thought ‘Uh-oh’ (and returning to the bus station wasn’t the characters being clever, it was about not finding another set). But naming the yacht ‘Justice’ worked for me and they upped their game with the A-plot.

So much so that it's only now that I think 'Hang on, shouldn't there be fall out from Root's escape?'
