The Good Wife. 3.15

There was a bit of wincing at the appropriation of Syria in the ad breaks, if I’m honest. I think they did it honourably (although Kalinda’s Syrian contact came from nowhere, and that really jumped out when so many characters are recurring) and tying it into the supply of software and modern industrial practice was consistent. Jonathan Graff really sold it; in the reunion scene, there might have been something in my eye.

But Eli’s triangle felt like a bit of an irrelevence.

The meat was Will’s situation. I loved that the episode overlapped with the last (and the striking image of Peter, left standing in HIS office, thank you very much, reminded me that he’d be quite happy to see Will disbarred). As so often in this season (if not the show) I was left flapping ‘guh, Will!’ and ‘YAY, DIANE!’. I agree with her view that he’s going to go up the walls if he’s not allowed to practice law. I can’t see it lasting six months, unless if the show does a time jump. I mean, sure, I want to see them run the Alicia taking over Kalinda’s intriguing tax etc case, and perhaps we will find out more about Will’s family (?) but my mind can’t fathom him not being a lawyer or dropping off the show.

Aww, he thinks he is at his best around Alicia (and maybe he is, but I would love to find counter-examples for him). Brilliant that one was sad to see him taking responsibility for what he'd done.

The unsettling use of music was also really well done in this episode.

I've just watched the first episode of 2 Broke Girls on 4OD. The tasering Thor shout-out made me laugh, but my overall impression is that Kat Dennings is too good for this.
