I am not looking at the clock on the bottom right corner of my screen, although later in the day, I will wish that I had, because I want to post this.
The Good Wife, Hi
Oh SHOW. I think I have an official One True Firm, here, from Diane calling Alicia and Will calling Cary to howevermuch of Kalinda's blackmail by testimony was out of loyalty to Alicia to the Will-Diane interaction. And maybe my reaction to the final shot being of Peter. Because the show, in the beginning, was about The Good Wife, (we first saw Alicia in the press conference and afterwards, although since then weve seen more of her working than not, I believe). It was about Alicia and Peter then - I wonder how much of the iceberg has been scratched with his case. But (and this is partly a response to my feeling that the promos for the show have been Chris Noth heavy) HE isn't even a regular. Yet.
Ahem.
Can I go back to remembering (sighing over) scruffy! Will (be still my heart etc)?
And how AWESOME was Kalinda? Granted, I’d have liked to see her be less blasé in examining the laptop, because LIKELY MURDERER RIGHT THERE. Although I’m sure her reaction times would have been sufficiently quick. But the cop (an ex? There was a little sigh from her that suggested more than stringing him along) initially letting her in although he should know that if she scratches your back, there’s always a threat that she’ll draw blood, and then their changing relationship. And AP’s reaction at the memorial photos of Lisa Pruitt, enough to remind you that Kalinda has so recently seen her dead, bloody body.
It’s all about the details - like Alicia remembering about the camera. And how interesting were the lines she crossed and the ambivalent relationship to truth. Loved the shadings of the line crossing; that Will hesitated/freaked out/ appeared to over the bra, but not the hairbrush, whereas Alicia had crossed the line with the hairbrush on his orders and just took it AND THE BIN under the time pressure.
Also things like the killer turning out to have done the things Kalinda was trying to pin on the guard.
Again you are spared My Thoughts on American Idol. (I watched them sing, not the results show.)
And I watched Ashes to Ashes 3.04
Zoe Telford!!! I did suspect her of wanting to be Bonnie to Terry's Clyde, but they surprised me with the son (a little too much, Chris's assault didn't seem to have hampered him much). About two-thirds of this episode's dialogue was full of double meanings and I think more successfully than usual. The Gene-Jim thing is slowly burning, but Jim's Stykera moment (where he helped the cop die) was powerful stuff. All that I will throw into the mix, which appears to be confirming fannish theories about the ghost being Gene and Jim and Gene's respective roles, is that Alex saved Shaz in season 1. Also go Shaz; give her the promotion, Hunt. How is this season striking people tonally compared with seasons 1 and 2?
