Snapshot of right now
I've just finished reading The Hero and the Crown - LOVED it. I'm also rewatching the first half of season 7 of CSI on DVD - this was the season I ditched to watch series 2 of Life on Mars for, and although CSI seems to be on five or Living every other night, I'm not sure where they are in terms of the running order. Given that CSI is about forensics, I'm not blushing for my obsessive compulsion about watching it - and nearly everything else - in order.
I don't think I mentioned this before, but I'm half-heartedly watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, mainly for Summer Glau, because (shocking admission of popculture illiteracy alert!) I haven't watched the films, so some of the backstory is confusing to me. Cameron is no River though, and the tone of the show is somewhat relentless when I'm not that invested in most of the characters.
The show is being aired on Virgin1, which has been hyping Chuck to death. The word overkill comes to mind, because I had determined to overcome my 'but it's Jake 2.0 2.0!' prejudice for the love of Josh Schwartz, a love that then diminshed when I found out he said something stupid (IMO) about Ryan/Marissa - ah the baggage that come along with the built-in fanbase - and then Virgin have to have three ads for the new show per ad break.
Less issues, more joy at the return of Bones. Sky was always going to show the series in two halves (wonder if they've rethought the experiment) but the writers' strike put part two on the back burner. But yay, FINALLY! I am so looking forward to that, Squints and banter and must remember not to try eating when it's on.
I can feel myself 'sounding' hyper as I type. Sorry about that. I hadn't planned on typing this, I was going to respond to a few things, but ff.net was slow in loading, and so... I'm still limiting the amount of time I'm spending online, so I'm probably going to be delurking in a random fashion, and then being slow in responding, because I've decided that I'm going to be 'reading' or doing something specific for the amount of time I'm online. I have no idea how long this will last, I'm just very much playing it be ear (except that's the wrong body part. Do I mean feel?) I'm better, but far from right.
