Fuller response to Spooks 5:04

5.04 I was having fairly reasonable responses 'till about 9.59 pm last night and then there was the trailer and flailing and if the Beeb put the next episode of Spooks on straight after (I suppose Spooks viewers are expected to watch the news, which is always a weird shift from fiction to fact) I'd have HAD to watch it. One of my favorite longtime fantasies! The nice thing about Spooks is that the way these writers work, they might decide to do that. Although this soon after the Rogue Spook plotline from last series, I'm not hoping too hard.

In terms of seeing Nicola Walker act her heart out, I'd love to see it. In terms of my head space WRT Ruth, I'd rather not - if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm waiting to see how it'll all play out.

I know, it's almost a knee-jerk assumption at this point for me: anyone who appears to be a good guy isn't, necessarily. I find myself wondering whether this is the mark of a battlescarred and untrusting fan or simply a personal tendency. Hm.

It may say a lot about the type of material you're drawn to, as well, which would mean that both those factors - experience and inclination - come into play.
