Hotch potch of randomness

I've received confirmation that Smallville season 4 is to air on Channel 4 'some time in the spring'. Although it's nice to have the confirmation that I will finally be able to watch it (JAckles, resolution to the s3 "cliffhanger"), and not have to fork out for the DVD or get the library to order it, that's ridiculously vague. It could be any time between now and when the channel starts airing Big Brother again. So will keep an eye on that.

I got confirmation the same time that The West Wing is solely on More 4 now, which given the ages I've had to spend, and the fact that Channel 4 never quite scheduled it right, is no surprise. I've only seen up to Zoey's kidnapping, so I'll have to work out what DVDs I need to get the library to order.

It probably says a lot about me and today that when the post arrived (earlier than normal, they were probably putting an extra effort on) my immediate thought was 'package'. And yay! Indeed it was. I now have Sky High on DVD, and the cover's just right, cheesy but charming, just like the film. I might watch it tomorrow night, though I'm aware that it may make me want to write SH fic/read SH fic, neither of which I reeeally have time for.

Came across these spoilers/rumors for the Batman sequel which sound really cool. Also, look at all the Brit actors that Christopher Nolan seems to be casting? It seems that he's being allowed to continue to follow the blueprint laid out in Batman Begins, which is excellent. I'm still trying to work out why I was so happy to click on them spoilers, when I'm phobic about 'em in general - X3 in particular today.

Further randomness, I found out that the Matthew Goode that the critics said was good in Match Point was the Matthew Goode who was the best thing about Chasing Liberty. I'm trying to work out if I knew this and decided that it still wasn't enough to make me go see a Woody Allen film again, and forgot, or if I didn't know. Anyway DVD. Also, MG played Lynley's younger brother (!?!?) apparently, and, by the way, the new series of The Inspector Lynley Mysteries is on 17 March. (A Friday. Hmm.)
