Let me ramble too.

It probably says a lot that I haven't sat down to look at the Oscar noms yet, just caught one or two headlines. What free time I do have, I've only been fit for watching things on the box where little people talk and stuff.

Among other things, I watched the return of CSI First of all, I loved the big one team shot, yes it was gratuitous, but then they swept towards Brass, and I loved that most of the lab techs Hodges! Other David! Bobby! And best of all Archie who loves Farscape and has cheekbones that should be celebrated). Exley and Greg's replacement were the only ones I missed. They referred to the finger-print lady. I don't love Louise Lombard's character, but I'm trying to look at it as a gender balance thing. I liked how the cases split off into various others. I loved that they dealt with Nicky (oh, hun, and he's probably one of my least favourite of the leads), plus that the case is being opened up.

I'd been spoiled for Hubby Warrick. And my petty, disappointed shipper is left wondering if it was stupid to think that they would go for the older blonde lead female character in a relationship with a younger (exceptionally hot) black subordinate on a top mainstream drama. Or if it's just no relationships for the CSIs at work. I thought Catherine's reaction was believable (and ha! I knew she'd turn to spending time with Lindsay.) There was nice interaction all round otherwise (Greg had sensible hair. Whuh?) Glad to see it back, even if I'm sort of fervently wishing the death of Mrs Warrick - for angst's sake and my continued shipping. Oh yes, verily I am petty and over-invested.

The O.C. Not much o say. Marissa's visit to the public school reminded me of the Buffy pilot. Emo surfer boy does little for me, his girl looks like a splicing of Jennifer Anniston and Maggie Grace, and I already have a soft-spot for the Xander - Seth with Steve Somers' curls. I felt smug when it was revealed that Dean Hiss was having an affair with Taylor, because duh! it was obvious.

Now, after rewatching ''The Links' before, I was all for Charlotte = a retread of that, but she isn't.

Anyway, Julie got to me despite her silliness (gold-digging is all very well if you look fabulous in the shoes, but you need a back up plan) and I hope that Summer will do something fabulously vengeful. oh, HER HOUSE> Lushness!

So much the same as usual, wishing Ryan and Marissa wouldn't clog up my tv and that Seth got more to do.

tv, the o.c., crime scene investigation
