I obviously did not include all my fandoms. Too many of them for this to work properly, LOL. I could've gone by my OTPs in each fandom or just all my favorite pairings in general, but damn if that wasn't hard! How I chose who to put on my little list? I went with pairings that I have actively searched high and low for fan fiction; hence the reason the majority of my list is composed of Code Geass and Bleach pairings. (Also, those of you in those particular fandoms, take into account the sheer amount of characters in each.) There's also the fact I don't have OTPs in all my fandoms, and you'll rarely find main character pairings on any shipping list of mine since I enjoy my minor character crack-y pairings, thankyouverymuch.
Villetta/Ougi (CG) - OK, this has to be said. These two are possibly the most fucked up CANON pairing I have ever had the pleasure to ship.
Zuko/Katara (A:TLA) - It was almost impossible for me to narrow down my GIANT PLAYLIST TO ONE SONG. I don't claim this song to be neither the best nor the worst, and I honestly chose the song based upon the moments I personally believe encompass the biggest obstacle in their relationship - trust - and from The Western Air Temple through the finale it was dealt with. I know most will disagree, that it's the fact they come from opposite sides of the war. The Romeo/Juliet factor is intriguing to an extent and, of course, cliché, but my rabid interest in them as a pairing did not kick in until the S2 finale. (There's also the fact that Katara's character didn't hold much interest for me until Toph's entrance in the sixth episode...)
Also, I chose a song from Zuko's POV because I honestly thought by the time the Southern Raiders aired that he harbored a bit of a crush on her. Your mileage may vary.
07, 08, and 09 are sheer, unadulterated crack!pairings that are quickly making their way through my evil, little heart.
Lloyd and Rakshata (CG), there's so little about them in show itself, mainly only passing references to the fact that there's a long-standing grudge between them from their college years. What sealed it for me was the fact, Lloyd, a self-proclaimed sociopath and always extremely composed and casual, completely loses his shit every time Rakshata beats him at their little game of outdoing the other. Same goes for her, except that she's not a sociopath.
Starrk/Harribel and Zaraki/Unohana (Bleach) have absolutely no basis. There's not a single bit of evidence for either of these. There's also the fact that Bleach is a shonen manga and will never have any focus on romance. I just find that the characters in these pairings fit each other well. And no, my love for Zaraki/Unohana does not stem from the "tame the beast" complex. It stems from the fact that there's been passing references that Unohana is possibly the scariest fighter of the lot of ranked* Shinigami (excluding Yamamoto), and, honestly I can totally see her understanding Zaraki's bloodlust well. I really, really want Zaraki to see her kicking Yammy's ass in the current arc, and just him breathing, "Holy shit."
*I use the term ranked because of the Vizards and those affiliated with Urahara Shoten.
