Writing is so much better than talking.

As you've just read, I've found writing to be a great outlet for my emotions at the moment since I'm unable to talk. I just came home from a visit with my "uber-nice" orthodontist and am now sporting a nice set of tight rubber-bands on either side of my jaw.

What a way to feel restrained. I can neither talk, eat, nor laugh without removing the bands. On top of that, I have yet to master the skill it takes to remove them and apply them to my brackets.

Gah. To make matters worst, I have to leave and show my face at an event being held at my church so that the congregation will not adopt the wrong idea about my parents. Don't get me wrong though. I don't mind going to church. It's just that I happen to be the only one within my group of friends that is a member of a church with zero-to-no youth.

I feel like the only teen who's being morally saved while in the vast company of elders.

Go me.
