Artist athlete, Payne Alderman currently pursues BFA in Advertising at SCAD, driven to master state-of-the-art computer applications and design software and execute new marketing schemes. His drive towards excellence and discipline finds expression in his work at a local real estate firm and his membership on SCAD Baseball team. Upon graduation, Payne aims to launch his own advertising and marketing company on the forefront of the digital frontier.

Multi-genre creative writer and literature enthusiast, Hannah Jones attended the Converse College Young Writer's Workshop, has published in Dorman High School's literary magazine, and given public readings of her own work. She currently attends the Savannah College of Art and Design and hopes to advance her knowledge of the written word. On the basis of her academic and artistic merits, she won $8,000 in combined annual scholarships to pursue her interests. She currently aims to break into the entertainment business and write for television.
Aspiring architect Jason Knight began preparing for a career in architecture since childhood. Winning Kell High School’s award for outstanding architecture workmanship, he is currently completing a BFA at SCAD. His studio work is regularly selected for the NAAB.
An interior designer and business entrepreneur, Ashleigh Richards is currently pursuing a BFA in interior design at SCAD. During high school, she redesigned an eco-friendly preschool playground and won the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor available within the national organization. Ashleigh looks forward to using her leadership and artistic skills learned through Girl Scouts and SCAD to better serve her community.

Compelled by the exotic in life and art, Danielle Austin completes a BFA in Writing at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She now serves as the managing director of District, SCAD’s newspaper. Winning numerous awards for her District work, she aims to write for Alternative Press magazine, entertained by the prospect of writing books about sex-crazed teen vampires wizards who compete to the death to survive. Her fallback plans include joining the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus as a white tiger trainer.
Published in the Columbia County Magazine, writer Cortney Bartow already holds a Communications degree and currently pursues a BFA in Writing at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She endeavors to shape the future of publishing and magazine writing, aspiring to challenge and inspire people’s lives.
Informed by two homelands, the countryside of Georgia and the bushland of Zambia, Africa, multi-genre writer Alex Cheves captures place as character in his work, believing that the only way to attempt to claim the ownership of a land is through writing. Alex aims for a career in Pagan and Interfaith ministry and sees his writing as both spiritual and recreational practice. Currently he pursues a BFA in Writing with a double minor in Creative Writing and Advertising at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). An LGBT activist, he is an officer in SCAD Queers and Allies, a student-led support group for gay and lesbian youth.

Jeremy Kahn currently pursues a Sequential Art major and creative writing minor at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He writes regularly for SCAD's e-learning blog, SCAD Myriad. In the past, he created and sold a comic series through multiple vendors, such as iTunes, Amazon Kindle, Barnes and Noble's Nook, and two local comic stores. In his future, he will author children's books and comic scripts.
Multi-genre artist, Rachel Reed, a former student of psychology, is a writer focusing on the art of analysis, memoir, and region-inspired pieces. As a youth, she published a poem in the _Young Authors of America_ {ITALICIZE book names], experimenting since with different genres and techniques of self-expression. Working as a dance choreographer when not writing, she believes that dance, writing, and psychology all elaborate our human need for connection. Her art has garnered the Hidden Glenn Art Show Award and been displayed in the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, published in Elementia {ITALICIZE journal titles] literary magazine. Winning several artistic scholarships including the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Presidential Scholarship and Shooting Stars scholarship, she is completing a BFA in sequential art with a creative writing minor at SCAD.

Winning a $11,000 annual scholarship to SCAD, Katy Kennedy has committed to career as an artist. She has experimented in diverse genres from sculpture, visual art, and photography, still in the process of determining her field of endeavor. Admitted into SCAD’s Study Abroad program in Hong Kong, she aims to rediscover herself and reinvent her artistic process, ultimately defining her career plans.
Photographer and architect, Nayantara Khanna graduates from the Savannah College of Art and Design to pursue her diverse passions. She is a leader, an entrepreneur, and a professional, having held several leadership and management positions, including one at Yale University and at her present college. Successfully organizing volunteer work and launching her own small business, Nayantara is also a musician. She won two national merits in Indian classical singing awarded by India’s Pracheen Kala Kendra.
For the last decade Ryan McCarthy has developed the systems and protocols to work in experimental art thinking, rigorous design research, and the search for extra perceptual artistic motives. His multi-disciplinary, multi-perspective approach is tangential to his world view crossed with his love for future worlds and emerging technologies. The art is thus engaged in the systematic personal history of places, shared memories, senses and colors. The design is reverent of a systematic exploration of our expectations of the typical object with regard to human spatial awareness.
A filmmaker and production designer, Mackenzie Roberts currently completes a BFA at SCAD, pursuing her life-long goal of challenging and changing lives through films. Her first documentary created in high school, Killer Weed, garnered first place in the Louisiana Student Film Festival division. A year later, during her internship with Trespass, starring Nicholas Cage and Nicole Kidman, she decided to dedicate her life to environmental design for the motion pictures. Since then, she won work opportunities with the Disney Imagineers and professional directors and production designers. A Promise, the first film she produced, co-directed and designed was nominated as a regionalist in the Student Academy Awards, gaining acceptance into numerous film festivals.
Nicholas Seidl, an editor, director, and film scholar, currently completes a BFA in Film and Television at SCAD, planning to pursue a master’s degree in Cinema Studies. Primarily an editor, Nicholas uses a combination of classic Hollywood continuity-based edits broken up by longer more European cuts. When directing, Nicholas takes inspiration from historic as well as contemporary filmmakers, synthesizing Golden Age comedy with more contemporary film influences. He recently pitched the BBC with his documentary on the American phenomenon of ‘Traveler Kids,” having shown his work at artistic festivals including the Atlanta-area Young Artist Celebration.
Traditional and digital photographer, Catherine Taylor displays versatility in techniques, experience in photo editing, and expertise in graphic design. Catherine is both a documentarian and an image-maker, synthesizing found objects, stunning landscapes, and honest portraits that delve far into the subjects’ minds. As she relates, “Photography is stopping time. It makes it possible to hold time in our hands, past the point where our memories are faded and stories, forgotten.”
