Where have I been! No update in a month! Work has been crazy as usual what with the holidays fast approaching. (
m_ravensblood, if you see this- as you're the only one who reads my journal I think- HI! Sorry I've been absent for so long! How are you!) I've been away from the online world a while now but I've tried to show that I'm still around by participating in the icon contests at
profiler_fans. I just love those contests so much that I don't want to miss one! Here are the banners I've won recently:
It's a honor to do so well at these contests. I didn't think I'd place to high considering I don't even have Photoshop!!! All I've got is PSP and you can't do nearly as much with that program- but it's the only program I could find in my *ehem* budget. I'm really curious as to how people get really cool designs in their icons with all those antique looking swirls and stuff. I wonder if that is soley a Photoshop thing ( if so, I'm jealous). I often have these really cool ideas (or at least I think they are cool) but I can't do them with my program. Or maybe I still just don't know how to fully use PSP. Boo!
Anyway, I've started working on a supernatural fanfic for the October contest and I've got about 14 pages so far. I've got a solid beginning and a solid end, I just need to fill in the middle now (I never write in order). I really hope to finish that by the end of the month. It's my first real fanfic piece and I'm excited about it because I think I've got a pretty cool twist in it and I'm excited to hear what people think- it's a crazy twist that wouldn't be possible AT ALL without a little help from The X-Files :D - so I'm REALLY excited about that. I wonder if LJ will let me paste a story that long to submit or if I'll have to paste it in sections. I still don't know everything about LJ.
Anyway- I guess I should get to writing if I want to finish that story for the October contest. Laters!
