Secret Santa Presents for celli
Hope you have a fantastic christmas. Included in this post are two drabbles and a fanmix
Drabble 1:
Title: Nathan's surprise
Author: Amanda
Rating: Pg-13
Pairing: John Grant/ Nathan Brubaker
Summary: Nathan Decides to break into John's apartment to clean his kitchen
Nathan glanced through the fridge again. He really needed to get John to invest in something more than chinese.
Nothing seemed to have moved from the fridge since he was over here last week, and Nathan suspected that some of it may be growing mold. He had bought a trash bag with him though. He opened the trash bag, and pushed everything from the fridge into it.
He spent an hour cleaning the fridge with a scrub.
The only thing in the freezer seemed to be ice. Nathan wasn't worried about it.
He debated on cleaning the kitchen, but he didn't have all day to spend on the project. He only had about two more hours to go grocery shopping and cook. (Well, if George was able to keep John distracted enough. George had wrangled John into helping him investigating some imaginary investigation for the case they were working on.)
Nathan had written the list he needed, and headed quickly to the store. He hoped that there wouldn't be a huge crowd at the store, he wanted to be able to have time to cook everything.
In the middle of cooking the sauce for the spaghetti, John came into the apartment.
John tilted his head a little confused. “What are you doing?”
“Cooking, I know you don’t know what that is, since all your food comes out of a box, and the only appliance you know how to use is the microwave.” Nathan finished what he was doing.
“I know how to use the toaster too.” John stuck his tongue out at Nathan.
He started in towards the fridge to grab a beer, but Nathan batted his hand away.
John raised an eyebrow slightly. “So, I can’t have a beer on my birthday.”
“Not yet. Go sit on the couch, we need to have a discussion over dinner.”
John crossed his hands over his chest. He looked like he was about to start sulking.
Nathan couldn’t stand to see John sulk. He turned the sauce on low for a minute. “Okay, you win… This is the last night you are eating in this dump. I got the keys to the apartment today.” He pulled a set of keys of out his pocket and handed them to John.
Before John could say anything, Nathan was kissing him on the lips.
John pulled him closer. “That is great!”
Drabble 2:
Title: Pennies
Author: Amanda
Rating: Pg-13
Character: Dr. Grace Alvarez
Summary: One small penny can grow into many
During a particularly brutal case, as Grace was peeling off her gloves, she notices a penny on the ground. She picked it up and put it in her pocket and thought nothing of it.
Later, she put it in an empty cotton ball canister that had been sitting in her lab.
Shortly after that she found out she was pregnant. She began to add to the penny jar. Whenever she had a bad case, she would try to add coins into the jar.
She kept them as a reminder that sometimes even in the darkest times there are things that shine. Looking at the jar reminded her of all the things she loved, when it got too full she would empty and roll most of it, leaving a few pennies in the bottom of the jar.
Grace would deposit the money in a savings account she opened, which when Jason became old enough she would give to him.
