Used Bookstore Treasure!!
I returned from one of my used bookstore hunting trips and came across this unique find. The book is entitled "Triumphs and Wonders of the XIX Century". It was printed in 1899 by W. H. Isbister and it's a fantastic encylopedia on the marvellous acheivements of the 19th century. Everything from Art, Science, Architecture, Medicine, Engineering, People, War, Politics, Social/Moral Advancements, to Geography and Agriculture. So much great information in one book about a century in history that I love. I purchased it for only $10.00 dollars. It has tons of illustrations, both black and white photos and ink prints or as the book says"..copiously and magnificently illustrated.." It sits in my library prominently with my World Altas printed in 1890.
