Gentleman at Play!!
I found this while searching for some new costume ideas. This was a posed photograph for "Harpers Bazaar" during the American Civil War to show a comical view how officers of the Union Army passed there free time while in camp. It is true, boys (gentlemen) never grow up. As history moves on, we just find new ways to entertain ourselves. I especially love the sabre mix in the back ground, since I enjoy fencing as a hobby (gentlemenly sport of leisure activity).
