Aiden was, for all intents and purposes, hanging around the Green Park tube station. He was waiting patiently for Adrienne, and once she arrived, he was going to take her to The Avenue. He'd heard good things about it, and he figured it was a good public place to take someone out

She was still dressed in her lab coat and work clothes (she hadn't have time to change after work, they'd been busy beyond belief) but she had with her a bag of clothing and a little makeup. God, she wanted to make the right impression.
Her heart pounded in her chest as she reached the top, her eyes running about the station looking for him. Her breath caught as she spotted him, reading a book. Taking a deep breath she walked over to him, willing herself to calm down; "H-hey..." she said quietly, cursing the fact that she stuttered.

Her grin also got wider; "T-thank you" she stuttered again before she could catch herself, her heart rate speeding up a little more. "And y-you're..." she really couldn't finish her sentence. "I-I need to get changed...lab coat isn't really the h-height of f-fashion..." she laughed quietly, more than a note of nervousness clouding it.

"I will..." she said moving away from him reluctantly. She laughed softly; "You can read if you want, I read more than is good for me, though usually my brother's science journals." she'd be as quick as she could, simply for the pleasure of getting back to him again. "And you won't miss me, I'll be right back" she took her bag and began to walk towards the Ladies.

He smiled a little. "I promise, the science journals are probably a lot more interesting. Medical journals tend to be mindnumbing." Smiling, he shook his head a little. "I've a feeling I'm going to miss you even if you're only gone a minute. But go on so you can get back." He watched her walk away, then settled on the bench, putting his head back. "There's no such thing as love at first sight. Keep repeating that," he murmured, "of course, when she comes back, it'll be second sight..."

She felt his eyes on her as she walked away, shivering a little. She got dressed quickly, putting a little bit of make up on but not much before heading back out to him, bag in hand; "Okay" she said, a little nervously. "Ready?"

He was waiting patiently, just as he'd promised, his journals tucked into his bag. "I am indeed," he grinned, standing back up again and guiding her to the street, his hand resting on the small of her back. "And by the way, if I forget to tell you later? I had a really good time tonight. And you look spectacular," he said softly, almost in her ear.

The touch of his hand on her lower back felt undenyably right and she grinned, feeling safer than she had done in a long while, here by his side, for all intents and purposes his, at least until the night ended. She shivered a little at the words and smiled, looking up at him; "I did too, and you do too, more than spectacular...and thank you, for everything"

He led her through the streets to the bar, opening the door for her, taking her hand as they moved through the door and walking slightly ahead of her to part the crowd. It wasn't a huge group, thank god, but there were enough people that he felt the need to protect her from the crush of them all.
He moved back to a small table in the corner, intimate in setting and quieter than most of the other tables. It would be good for talking, and good for staying the hell away from the majority of the crowd.
