Coming Home

A long day was not nearly as fun once you had children at home (and he'd never found them particularly "fun" in the first place). Aiden guessed that a lot of men would find being away from home a relief, but not him. He'd never liked being away from Adrienne. And once the children were born, well... he was reluctant at best to stay at work, and long days simply irritated him to no end.

Though he'd been in a foul mood when he got in the car, he was smiling when he pulled up to the house, and by the time he got to the door he was actually whistling a little tune. He unlocked the front door and moved into the house, calling out for his family. It was good to be home.
