[Layton nods.] Thank you for understanding. It's been quite odd to have to re-introduce myself to those that already knew me.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Fudo. If only it were in better circumstance, but I suppose it can't be helped.

Just Yusei is fine. {No one calls him mr fudo lolwat. everyone assumes he's like 16 still.}

Ah... I've been here nearly a year, now.

[professorgent]

Yusei, then. [Layton is very polite and addresses everyone that way, unless told otherwise. Even Conan. XD]

A year, hm? That's a remarkable amount of time. I hope it hasn't been too demanding on you.

At least, it gives me an idea of what length of time to plan for. I've been told that when I was here previously, it was for over a year.

[Oh I know XD Just it's not something he's used to]

It's become... a bit routine actually, for the most part. I've even opened a mechanics shop.

There are a few people who've been here over three years.

Oh, a mechanics shop sounds quite intriguing. I like to tinker with machines myself from time to time. What type of things do you build there, if you don't mind me asking?

I can't imagine how demanding staying that long must be.

Well, right now I'm trying to build a motorcycle. It's... interesting to say the least.
I also fix anything people bring me, and I take care of some of the androids around here.

I'm sure it must be. But everyone gets on as best they can.

[professorgent]

Sounds like an interesting project. It reminds me of my car back home. [He chuckles lightly.] I miss that contraption already. I'll be sure to drop by your shop then, should I have any repairs that need to be done.

That's what we can do for now, to keep calm and carry on.
