Today I went to the doctor to get a couple of shots. So they did all the usual stuff, personal info, height, weight, etc. While I was on the scale, I saw the nurse's face fall. So we go into the little private room and:
"Wow, you lost a lot of weight in a year!"
- "What's a lot?"
(She tells me and gives me the wary look.)
- "Oh wow!"
"Are you...?"
- "I've been going about it in a very healthy way."
(And I explain. At this point even my mom's reassuring her. And I thought it was awkward of the nurse to bring this up in front of my mom.)
So, yeah. I guess I really did loose a lot of weight?
Now I don't feel so strange about all those compliments I've been getting.
