30 Days of FE, Day 28: What should the next FE be like, if you designed it?
I'm almost done with this meme. Almost. (the fact that I'm actually typing up really long posts for each question makes me think I'm doing things wrong, but.)
If I were designing the next FE... I would actually try to avoid making some kind of epic FE9/10 remake which patches up some of the plot holes, has lots of added supports and gives some of the often-forgotten characters from Radiant Dawn actual screentime, even though that's what I'd probably really want. Most of the fans are already complaining about FE11-12 being remakes, so I think something new should be in order. And it would probably please them, too.
I recall seeing an interview where one of the designers (I think he was a designer, anyhow) commented that he wanted to make an "FE allstars" game, and I really love that idea! FE is a really fun series to think of crossovers for, too. I'm guessing it would be something similar to the Tales of the World games; it has a lot of potential, since the characters from the different games would finally get to actually interact with eachother. Which would of course be amazing. I'm imagining a Serra/L'Arachel support right now. Serra and L'Arachel sisfisting. It makes perfect sense and I need to draw fan art of this sometime
But uh, if I'm not allowed to make an awesome amazing crossover game, I think it would be really nice to see a Magvel sequel/prequel, too. Magvel just needs more love! It would be nice to see the lore of that particular continent fleshed out a bit more, since I always felt it was pretty barebones. So if any of the verses deserve another game set on the same continent, it'd probably be Magvel. (And I'm saying this in spite of being a complete Tellius fangirl)
Actually, if there ever was another Tellius game that wasn't a remake, I'd want it to be an AU with EvilPrinceofDaein!Soren and Knight!Ike where Ike is the least knightly knight in the world
(I have been wanting to see a fic like that forever, but I just can't write. asdsrfdfg it would be awesome though)
