This is what's going on in Bangkok:

Yep, things are getting dodgy. The dynamics are not the same as in 92. This time the country is divided over their support for this prime minister/party. It is a clash between the Bangkok Haves and the rural Have Nots. The other issue is that this Prime Minister was actually elected, which they all wanted to have (an election) they just wanted their own party to win. Today will be fairly critical in terms of the current impact on us as many state run services are going on strike, ie: railroad, city busses, etc. They are threatening to cut power and water to all government buildings and that wouldn't be us. At any rate, unless you go down by the palace, you'd never know anything was going on. Staff at ISB are clearly divided. The IA;s and office staff vs the grounds, cleaning, and cafeteria staff. They pretty much reflect the class / political division in the conflict.
