Sorry about the last post. I just generally wish people were better to each other than they were. Hug someone today. For my sake.
The weekend was long and amusing out here. I became closer friends with some folks here and we now have a few inside jokes to giggle about when no one else gets it. I also went out to see Stardust, and I rather enjoyed it and wish that I had the book back so I could reread it. Either way, amusement is good.
I fed the great horned owl in our raptor center on Friday and he is beautiful. No, I don't remember his name. I'll get back to you on that. Especially since that's where training will be this afternoon.
I also picked another three containers of blackberries, made a massive Sunday dinner for everyone, and after that, we all hiked out to listening hill, laid on our backs and watched the meteor shower. There were some truly spectacular flashes across the sky. We also scared ourselves silly and had to come back down.
I miss everyone terribly, still, and dream about you all on a regular basis. Take care of yourselves and know that someone in California is thinking about you.
