Like the graveyard, the pyramid is a trap-laden labyrinth.
Guaranteed item deposit hidden behind some walls! I get myself a pickaxe (very useful), a backup climbing set (not bad), and some other crap I ignore.

A trap destroyed by Girdle of Carrying, but I had a spare!
Second floor! More jackals, skeletons, and mummies.

Floor 2 is smaller than floor 1! That's because I'm in a pyramid.
And now for the fun part.
The top floor has a unique staircase - every time you enter the floor, it moves to a random place. Also, monsters won't follow you down it.

Some magic, as the Quasit was immune to fire.
Now to retrieve my legendary sword, and do battle with the lord of mummies!
Not USING the sword, of course.
This wasn't necessary at all, but it was fun and rewarding!

Not actually that great, the ancient mummy wrapping is notable for providing total immunity to cold.
The Ankh, on the other hand, grants Lucky and Fate Smiles, two awesome intrinsics, in addition to +2 DV, +2 PV, and a soft increase of luck in general.
The wrapping be abused later, but not worn now.
Dropping some non-essential items here for safe-keeping!
Now... to HEAD WEST...
