the academy.
ARROWS, RING, PATHS, POND, AND EMPTY SPACE
These mark the main entrance to the school. The ring signifies a set of stairs that surround the auditorium/music wing, making it slightly elevated over the rest of the campus. Paths and roads are not marked, but most empty space is assumed to be grass that students are free to use as a courtyard. The pond is covered with algae and is not clean enough for swimming, and it is also a hotspot for freshen hazing.
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES & TEACHER'S LOUNGE
All students must report here before they leave campus and after they return. All school visitors must stop by here before exploring the rest of the grounds. The teacher's lounge is also located here, which students may enter on occasion with teacher permission.
ENGLISH, HISTORY, & LANGUAGE ROOMS
Classrooms for these respective classes are located here, along with a common office for those teachers. The building is divided into three floors, with the bottom floor dedicated to English, Latin, and French, and the top floor to History, Spanish, and German. There are bathrooms and water fountains on each floor. The basement is off limits and used mostly for storage.
MATH WING & SCIENCE LABS
The building is two floors above ground and a basement, and all science labs are located in the basement--which, nonetheless, is well-lighted. Computer labs and classrooms are located on the ground floor with lab space devoted to the bottom. About half of the basement is blocked off due to storage and reconstruction purposes. Common teacher offices are on the top floor, along with the nurse's office and student medical center.
GYMNASIUM & POOL
Along with these two facilities, there is also a weight room, a cardio room, and a separate wrestling room. The locker rooms are on the second floor, with only one entrance to each room, to make watching for "opposite-sex intruders!" easier.
CAFETERIA & JANITORIAL OFFICES
The cafeteria and school store (for business students to utilize) are located on the first floor. Janitorial offices and storage are located in the basement, which is strictly off-limits to students. Use of the elevator between the two floors is also prohibited to students, though it doesn't matter too much because it rarely works anyway. The elevators are another hotspot for freshman hazing.
STUDENT DORMITORIES
Divided into four floors and a basement, the ground floor is for freshmen and sophomore boys, the second floor for freshmen and sophomore girls, the third floor for junior and senior boys, and the fourth floor for junior and senior girls. Each floor has one, large shared bathroom, and a common area with sofas and coffee tables. The bottom floor is a common area for all residents to share, containing a kitchen, a TV, radio, and a vandalized ping pong table. There is also plenty of open space for people to move in more things.
LIBRARY
The library is a two-floor establishment, with the main library on the first floor and general storage in the basement. The second floor of the library is the location of psychology, business, and social science classrooms and teacher offices. There are computers available in the first floor of the library, and they are open for all students to use.
AUDITORIUM & MUSIC WING
The building has one floor--half of which is devoted to the auditorium where all school assemblies and concerts are held. The other half is the location of all music theory classrooms and several practice rooms. There are a few school instruments available for borrowing in the instrument storage room. The basement is off-limits.
walton, massachusetts.
RESIDENTIAL AREA
Many of the teachers live in this area, though some do instead opt to live in nearby towns and commute (all Professors, however, live in Walton, very close to the school). A few families of students may live here as well. The area itself is built in the style of
Levittowns.
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
Completely separated from the residential area of Walton, the commercial district is home to nothing fancy. A few restaurants (one Chinese, one Italian) is located there, along with a small movie theater, a coffee shop, and a couple of convenience stores (one mom & pop, the other a 24/7 kind of place).
WOODS
Well trodden with paths made by previous hikers. It's a somewhat hilly area, but a good place to go for a walk if you need some air.
