all i want is one day off to sleep.
yeah right. as if that'll ever happen.
i've also come to two conclusions:
1. They give teachers 3 months off for a reason. We need every second of those three months to recuperate from the crazies, the mean parents, the late nights grading papers, and the lack of weekends [as they're spent writing lessons, grades, etc.] They give us three months off because it's non-stop for the other nine.
2. Politicians are purposely trying to get teachers to quit. Things like low salaries and and shitty insurance are only the beginning. They instate things like high school majors and testing every nine weeks to see if we're preparing for the test. The more stupid shit they throw at us, the more of us will quit. If they keep it up, every single teacher will leave the profession and then politicians won't have to worry about education at all! After all, why allot money to schools if there's no teachers there?! They can just get rid of education all together! That's the only way I can see for them to justify the things they make us do.
