stupid
So I got into an accident over the fourth of july. Me and another person were on an ATV (Four-wheeler) when it was flipped. And no I wasn't driving. Got busted up pretty good. Waited four hours to go Urgent Care where they proceded to put to sutures just below my knee and perscribe some Loratab and four days bed rest. I acutally had to get a doctor's note to take to work. The doc at Urgent Care was first concerned with the possibility of my knee being broken due to the pain but the radiographs came back fine. Then she was concerned with me having torn a ligiment or a tendon in my knee. So, I have been in a knee brace the last 8 days. I went into an Orthopedic surgeon today. I was really nervous. He was concerned with the massive bruising and swelling that were still apparent after such a long period of time. That of course made me even more nervous. He tried to calm me down saying the chances of needed surgery weren't likely but he wanted to do an MRI anyway. I of course am leaving town next Wed. to go visit my mom in SC. So, the nice people got it done today. It took about 40 min and was very uncomfortable. So after racking up a 2,000 bill I now have to wait til Monday until I hear if I pulled my ACL or not. Thank God for insurance though. As of right now I only owed 130 on that. Let's just hope that insurance pays for the rest. Let us also hope that I don't have to have surgery or physical therapy. So, I am stuck in my brace untial at least then. The sutures came out two days early. I will have to take pics of my knee so you guys can see it. If it didn't hurt so bad and wasn't such a pain in the ass this could almost be cool. Mike was really awesome through it all. He basically waited on me hand and foot for the days I wasn't supposed to get up. Of course, the house went to poop without me keeping up with it. Oh well, a woman's work is never done.
