House Hunter!!
So when Mike and I first got to Farmington it was Thursday Dec. 21. So that gave us only one real day to look for a place to live. So we looked all day Friday and found a place called Sunwest Properties. The rented houses. Since we didn't find any apartments we were gonna give this a try. But since it was so close to Christmas they were closing early so we had to wait to look at any of their properties until Tuesday. So, Mike and I went back on Tuesday and found two places we were really excited about. So we turned in our applications and were told we would hear something by Thursday. Well, Thursday came and went and no word. So I called them on Friday and the lady was away from her desk but I was told I would get a call back before the office closed. Well, no call. So, Mike gives a call on Monday and it turns out that the place we really wanted was given to someone else. Mike and I were really upset. It was this really nice three bedroom house. It had a gas stove and an awesome refrigerator. So, we were tyring to figure out whether or not we should go with our second choice or try and find something else. Well, we found an add in the paper for a two bedroom two bathroom place. We decided to give it a call and went to look at it last night. IT WAS PERFECT!!
The master-bedroom is huge! A little oblong but huge! There is a bathroom off of the room. It has a bathtub but no shower. Which is okay because the other bathroom has a shower in it. The house has a fireplace, gas stove, dishwasher, a BASEMENT!, two-car garage, washer and dryer! It is awesome! They are putting in new carpet. It is incredible!! So we went today to turn in our applications and she said that we are it! WE GOT THE HOUSE!!! We are so excited!! heheheheheh! I can't wait! It will be a while before we can move in because of the new carpet they are putting in. So here is our new address: 1120 1/2 N. Monterey Ave. Farmington, NM 87401. The address wont be any good for another week or two but I will let you know for sure when we move in. Until then Mike and I are still at the Days Inn at 1901 E. Broadway Farmington, NM 87401.
