WELCOME TO FORT WORTH!!
Hello everyone from sunny Fort Worth, TX! The drive down here wan't that bad. I had bad weather on my first day when I was driving thourgh GA. It got so bad that people were pulling over onto the side of the highway cause you couldn't see 3 feet in front of you due to the rain. My drive the second day was much better.
So, I am currently here living with Mike for the next three weeks. It is gonna be awesome. Once we go out and buy a bed that is. Yup. You read right. Mike doesn't have a bed yet. We slept on the floor last night and shared a sleeping bag. It was quite the experience. =)
While Mike works from 7-5 every day I am working on finishing up my summer classes. I am also doing some work around the apartment. Not too much cause Mike will freak out. I'll start cooking dinner too once we go grocery shopping.
I do have good news though. I passes the Foreign Service Written Exam and am not asked to take the Oral Assessment. My interview will be on November 30 in Austin,TX. I am really excited about this. If I get this job I will be overseas somewhere working at an embassy or a consulate. The cool thing is that it is a federal government job which means crappy pay but awesome benefits. They might also take care of some of my student loans for me!
Other than that I am scheduled to start my night classes at UT at Austin on Sept. 5. Hopefully I will have a job by then too!
