Ahem. Professor Daring Do and I would like to share some little-known facts about Pegasi children and a certain young denizen of Ponyville in particular. Our previous entry crashed, as it was getting to be furlongs too long, and it's better to have it as a separate entry, anyhow. So, putting on our sober professorial velvet tam here:

Pictures and a lecture by Professor Daring Do. Contains spoilers, sorry! Go watch )

I adore the idea of bringing G2 into the mix. People talk about G3 getting no love, but I think the situation is far worse for poor G2. Sometimes I feel like I'm about the only one who loves that line!
I've speculated on the idea of Scootaloo's backstory myself. I've never considered the homeless orphan thing, I don't think, and I didn't even realize it was that common. Wow. Since apparently you don't have to be a Pegasus yourself to have Pegasi genes and pass them to children (re: the Cake family), I wondered if Scootaloo's situation was similar to that. But just about anything goes, I imagine.

I've never seen the G2 cartoon myself, but the Ponies themselves are very dear to me because of how much I was in love with the G1 Ponies when I was a kid. I was heartbroken when there weren't any more. Seeing those G2 Ponies on the shelves, even though they didn't look like G1s, pretty much sailed me over the moon. I felt like old friends had come back to me.
I would love to see your "respect" picture with Babs! That would be awesome. Yes, seriously, people should at least consider that they owe G4 to the past generations. I always try to keep that in mind when I'm complaining about the Perry Mason books versus the TV show and other such things. I may not be that happy with some things the books did, but there wouldn't be the TV show without them.
Yeah, seriously. That's a fine and poignant message right there.
