A new Doctor
I, like many of those I am somewhat acquainted with, have been sitting and waiting in anticipation for the announcement. It came today. Peter Capaldi will be the next Doctor. I am of two minds about this choice. Many are already complaining that he isn't young. Others are rejoicing that he's not young. The consensus seems to be that he is or is not attractive dependant on the tastes of those reacting to the decision.
My opinion on the matter has nothing to do with the Doctor's attractiveness or not. It has to do with the actual rules that govern the Doctor. We have seen him before, in "The Fires of Pompeii." Even I don't have the data to indicate what this will mean.
