This one was going to be the hardest to talk to. Of that, Dumbledore was sure. The complaint wasn't exactly the kindest statement he had ever heard but, perhaps, it needed to be said. He had seen Severus around the school multiple times and sometimes, the boy looked as though he could do with a fair bit of grooming.
If Severus wasn't taking care of himself, then clearly something was wrong.
All the same, phrasing it as the complaint had done wasn't the best way to inform Severus that he had a problem.
'Severus Snape is a disgusting greaseball who needs to wash his hair.'
Definitely not the best way. Time to paraphrase.
The chair across from his desk waited to be filled upon Severus' arrival.
