[Dumbledore is sitting at his desk looking somewhat ill. His injured hand is still as gruesome as it ever was, but he seems pale and tired. In front of him are scattered papers, mostly seeming to concern a cave that Dumbledore must be studying.

No, no. Merely overtired, I'm afraid.

That has a lot to do with it, yes.

...I don't like the future. Everyone seems really sad or tired or sick or something else bad.

It does seem that way. But maybe it will improve soon. Many of us are trying to make it so.

Or maybe I'll find a way to make sure it doesn't get that bad...I mean, when I work out how.

Though...that won't really help if this is how the future turns out.

Perhaps my present is not your future, Ms. Weasley. One can't know for sure.

I don't want to do that. I just want to know this isn't how it has to be.

I don't think it is. The world does not have to follow this path if the right choices are made.

Then if there's anything I can do to help it, I should do it.

I just don't know how yet. But I'll work it out.
