Yes, BBC news is much better at reporting the events that happen around the world!
Did you make it crown?

Yeah, I read your post after replying to you. :-) A sheered poodle is a good thing, well cute anyway.

Even not sentient people are/should be held responsible when breaking the law unless proven mentally incapable/ill etc-- and if the latter then they should have the appropriate remedying social support in the form of supervision/guardianship and/or institiutionalization.
Frankly, I sort of would like to see Paris with a court-appointed guardian living in supervised care, with no license and/or access to bad influences.

Now, as a society, we could do a lot better towards our most vulnerable -- the metally ill and the mentally retarded. Perhaps if someone famous and rich was declared in either category we might get a little more light shed on the subject -- but I doubt it.

In the meantime, have you seen Pink's video "Stupid Girls"? There are some great spoofs of Paris's driving etc which are now made more pointed.

Very good points, but I doubt that Paris is mentally incapable, just mentally incompetent.
I aslo agree that a "high" profile mental illness might bring along some of the needed change in the way we treat the individuals in our society who have serious mental health issues. Perhaps we will all (myself included) stop being afraid of mental illness and stygmatize those who suffer from it, and just maybe we will learn something more important about ourselves and our society.
Hmm, I will have to check out that video.

Ah, thank you for the update - Lawyer Girl! I hope I did not misrepresent the legalities too severely. Always good to check with a legal professional.
I agree with you. Why is Paris Hilton driving at all? One reason individuals like her have entourages is to protect the rest of us from them. Who would have wanted Elvis driving during his days of "more potent cocktails" or the Beatles driving in the US when they were on drugs (besides, they would be driving on the "other" side of the road).

I forgot to add : YOU SHOULD PAY YOUR TICKETS ON TIME!

Yes, it is more expensive to pay them late, but there is a more important issue at hand. Failure to pay on time moves your citation into other areas of the law. Depending on your citation, you may be flirting with crimnal law.

As someone who hopes to once again work for the government, you MUST pay all of your fines on time. Why wait until they could jepordize your career? Not to mention your liberty - people have gone to jail for unpaid tickets.

Haha, indeed. Go you! I bought steamer clams and swordfish at the fishmonger today, so I am happy.
Lab work is also going ok, I hope it will continue.

mmmmmmmmm, fish

Last night had me thinking about what is in my freezer and what I could grill up this weekend. Provided that my grill decides to work. It is a charcoal grill so you think it would be easy, but the airflow is not optimal.
