Author’s Notes;; BEHOLD MY OTP. I… I got into this couple after I made Yuna use “Curaga” on Auron. Immediately, my mind jumped to “THEY’D BE CUTE TOGETHER LOLOLOLOLOL” & made it my new FFx OTP. I’m so weird. D:
“Don’t stop.”
She lowered her staff and just stared at him for a moment. “But I…” Even after she stopped dancing, the pyreflies still hovered around his figure.
“It’s all right,” he assured her with a nod.
Everyone was silent after that and he decided to take that as his cue to say his goodbyes. He regarded Wakka for a moment, then took a step forward and looked up at the blue one, whom he gave a playful hit on the chest before continuing down the line. Lulu and he had never been too close: she got a mere glance. The Al-Bhed was fidgeting nervously by the time he got to her. Then came Jecht’s boy. The two men stared at each other for two seconds, then Auron stepped in front of him, purposely giving the boy his profile.
“It’s been… long enough,” he murmured.
Auron slowly walked towards the last one. Last but certainly not least. He came to a halt at her side and placed a gloved hand on her naked shoulder. It was supposed to be a reassuring gesture, but his hand lingered for a couple seconds longer. He could tell by the way that she stiffened below him that she was slightly unnerved. She lowered her head, allowing her brunette hair to block his view of her face. He could hear her mumble some things under her breath, like she was trying to think of a proper farewell, but she eventually shook her head and turned to face him, staring up at his face.
His hand had left her shoulder the moment she moved, but already had been taken into her own pair. They stood like that for a couple moments longer. She hesitated, shook her head, then raised her staff. “This is goodbye… Sir Auron."
