I cannot help but wonder what that message truly meant. Is it an empty threat, born from fear and cowardice, or do they truly intend to bring harm to those aboard the Amestris? There lies a very real possibility we will fall victim to another series of sabotage, but I do not believe a full-out attack will be launched. Such an action would be too predictable, and if we are led to believe a siege will fall upon us, we will not take notice of the true attack.
There is an art to fanaticism, and should we find ourselves in a position of weakness once again, we must prepare for the worst. An eye for an eye will one day leave the world blind. Revenge is not honorable. To take lives in the place of those who suffer... it is not right. It is not fair. But I have learned that in this world, fairness cannot be guaranteed. Perhaps earned, but not given freely.
