We moved, we being Hunter and myself.

It's a nice place.

I went to the bar last night. While I was there I watched the 3rd period of the Stanly Cup game 5 between the Ducks and the Senators. Initially it surprised me at how angry I was that the Ducks were winning, as I did not have much emotionally invested in either team. The only teams I would want to see win it were already out of the series or had not even made the cut.

At the end of the period, however, it came to my mind that it didn't matter who it was. Regardless of the jersey, regardless of the team, regardless of all that, these people were there to play their hearts out. I got to thinking about how every single one of them had probably been involved in hockey since they could walk. It actually made a little emotional to see them carry the cup around, kiss it, and finally bask in the glory after a life of blood, sweats and tears. I guess when it came down to it, the Ducks deserved that cup and I was really freaking happy for them. And I know I'd have felt the same if the Senators had won.

On a side note, Simple Man is my favorite song by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
