Connor still wasn't quite used to having his own apartment. He kept trying to find the smell of chlorine from the YMCA
pool. He looked up at the wall where he'd hung some of his pictures. He decided it was finally time to call his parents. If only to try to find out what had happened to his stuff after the
strange summer he'd had.
Angel had brought him some things, and bought him other things.
Like an entertainment system. He said it was to make up for all the birthdays he'd missed. Which was great, but Connor, after everything that had happened didn't watch much TV. Maybe he should get some DVD's. Or have some people over. If he could time it for when there was
no other party happening in town. Only his friends from the city had shown up to the last party.
Thinking of them reminded him that Drusilla was still in custody in New Orleans. No one knew quite what to do with her. She had after all, warned them of the coming of
the Scourge. They couldn't kill her after that could they?
He was also wondering if he should speak up with his idea to open up discussions with the Watchers. He was sure that they weren't like they were before the First tried to wipe them out. But how could he talk Lane into trusting them after what they'd
done? He also needed to remember to talk to the local
sheriff.
