With two ducks in the yard...

Shortly after 3p.m., EST on Friday, August 24th, the Yamakawa family became the brand new owners of this here house.

Despite a few small scares (Like one ceiling fan appearing to not work, but in actuality was simply us not knowing where the damned switch was) We spent a paper-work filled hour in he office of Morgan White of Delmarva Title, who, along with our Real Estate Agent Ginnie Malone, the Sellers, and their Agent, spent a surprisingly humorous hour going through all the signing.

The sellers are good people. Not only did they clean out the Soffits (Soffets? air ventilation in the attic) They also neatly placed all the requisite keys in individual plastic baggies, left the swingset,  a few nice wall hanging elements, and a years supply of wood pellets for the pellet stove. That, and because they packed the pool net by accident, they went out and bought us a new one. We must also be on the lookout for their family cat, who often takes a few-week long vacation during the summer, but hasn't come back yet. (Answers to the name of Princess)

And here below, the co-architect of this grand scheme of ours. Mrs. Ginnie Malone, of Coldwell Banker, who went above and beyond the call of duty (including making her husband ome out today to fix a light switch and crawl under the house. Which is especially noteworthy being that a 15 foot python was found in a delmarva crawlspace sometime this past week during a termite inspection and bit this dude in the hand.)

She gave us a neat little key box to hang in our house so we can keep our keys organized. Also a $100 wal-mart giftcard! She's a sweetheart.

.

Some of y'all are onboard for the great moving on Saturday, September the 8th, so we will see you then. Lisa's mom promises her award winning chili, and we'll have other tasty snack stuff and plenty of drinks available. (And a pool, assuming I get a PH kit soon.)

:o)  Huzzah!
