Domestic violence
Had an interesting experience today while walkinb downtown to drop a resume off. While walking, I saw some people crowded around in a small courtyard area between a bunch of buildings. I went in to see what was going on, and some man was beating up on a girl. Not entirely sure what was going on but apparently she was his step-daughter, and she had assaulted his wife the night before. Anyway, this called for intervention - so I started to call the police, when I saw a police car drive by, and then flagged him down. So he broke it up. it was interesting, because it was a stereotypical "COPS" scene. The girl looked like a crackwhore and the man some disgruntled military guy (both in sweatpants). Why in the middle of downtown, I don't know.
