You've already heard "Godless America" (#290) I assume. Have you listened to the Guantanamo episode ("Habeas Schmabeas", #310) yet? Unbelievable.

Also on the favorites page:
#38, Simulated Worlds is great.
I started listening to #199, House on Loon Lake, which was interesting. But it started to get kind of scary and I have to do all my late night lab work in total darkness, so I didn't finish it yet.
#210, Perfect Evidence is great.

The Christmas episode from 1999, #148, is pretty great, including my favorite David Sedaris one except maybe for the "black men" one that I haven't yet found. And I really like Act 4 of episode #198, "just be yourself".

Courtney is the real expert :).

Oh yeah, also from the favorites page, #77, "Pray" is pretty fascinating just because those Colorado people are so nuts ("lord god lord god lord god..."). But I found the whole "narrator is having a spiritual crisis" subplot tiresome; why is she so uncritical?

Have you downloaded the SALT archives? Sam Harris (author of The End of Faith) does a very good talk, unfortunately for him I think it's good enough that you don't have to buy his book after listening to it... The Brian Eno & Will Wright one is also really interesting, in a less concrete, very playful way. The Jared Diamond one is quite good depsite his rather confused idea of the history of climate science. But I think you already read Collapse, so you probably don't need to listen to that one. Those are the only three I've done so far and they were all good. Lots of other good looking ones.

Haha, it's funny because listening to the archives of This American Life have recently become my favorite distraction/procrastination tool :)
